If GitHub is anything to go by, we can see that Java and JavaScript are the two most popular programming languages in the world, followed by Python, PHP, and Ruby. Yet despite their similar names, Java and JavaScript are unrelated. Common sense tells you that JavaScript should be a lighter, simpler, easier version of Java. But common sense is wrong.
