Guide to diagnose, cure, and sustain your operations & maintenance program
Industrial companies have volumes of data and information captured across plants and assets. The challenge is, incorporating and using information that is accurate and actionable to deliver optimized maintenance programs, effective operations, and standard business processes across the enterprise – without disrupting asset performance or production.
There are many recommended “best practices” on work processes available to improve reliability and maximize maintenance programs, but continuously shrinking budget and resources is a reality. Time is a luxury that most organizations do not have. Often, teams spend more time gathering and normalizing data than analyzing it. Furthermore, dependencies on IT effect your timelines. These roadblocks often lead teams to simply ignore their tools and use anecdotal evidence to make decisions. Not only is this not optimal nor data-driven, but an entire generation of domain expertise is also retiring in the coming years. Most organizations worry about losing this “human knowledge repository” very soon. Clearly, a more effective system needs to be put in place.
